Lily had a little excitement at work when she met Clementine for the first time. They are definitely moving slowly towards being friends. Lily has staked her claim on me and isn't sure she likes me being friends with another female dog her size. The funny thing is that she has no problem with me being around Buddy, but then again he is a male and bigger than her. We are hopeful they will become friends someday soon so we can all go on walks together.

Gabe and Lily were enjoying a peaceful moment watching cousin playing on the X-Box. Notice how close Lily is keeping her green ball?
Lily LOVES her green ball. She will follow it anywhere. Izzy accidentally rolled Lily's green ball into an empty box we had on our bed, and Lily went tunneling in after it. They then repeated it just for me to take pictures. She is such a joy. We love having her as part of our family.
Little miss Lily worked hard at work yesterday. She moved into her new office; arranged all her belongings to her exact specifications, moving her bed closer and closer to my keyboard; and learned where the kitchen is. Then when we got home, she moved into my spot on the bed to rest up from such a long two hours at work. This morning, she was back to work with me again for a few hours and knew exactly where to go and what to do. She had a hard time saying goodbye when it was time for me to go back to work and her to spend time with Izzy. I think she is going to be a great little worker bee at Esha and loves coming to work with me.
Uncle Scott bought Lily a squeeky, green, knobby ball, a package of tiny squeeky tennis balls, and a little fuzzy stuffed animal this last Sunday at Pet Smart because of course Lily stole his heart. I was a little worried she would never play with them since her foster mom said she really didn't play with her toys at her house; however no fears. The little green, knobby ball is the toy de la journée. If she hears the little squeek anywhere in the house, she jumps up running for her special toy, and believe me when I tell you she knows which toy was squeeking and only runs like that for the green knobby ball. Uncle Scott done good. Last night, G kept sqeazing Lily's green ball and then throwing it for her when she would come running. She decided she was done, so she ran in there, chased her green ball down, grabbed it and then came and burrowed into her bed with it. After she was all tucked in with her ball, she looked up at me with a look that seemed to say: "My bal...
I made a little jump up spot next to my bed so that Lily could jump up to it and then jump up onto our bed. She decided that this was actually the best spot for her to have "her spot" and whenever we sit down to watch TV, she settles in right there next to us...
Here is Lily cuddling with Uncle Scott while he makes music on his computer. We adopted Lily on Camano Island which is about 1.5 hours above Seattle. This was a long drive from home, so we spent Memorial Day weekend at my brother's house. It was great to spend time with Scott and Christopher, just kicking back and relaxing.
